Head funding – paid
Clean Climber is looking for a person who’s excited about a sustainable world, preferably an outdoor person or even better, a climber! You’re excited to bring Clean Climber to a higher professional level by applying for funds as well as keeping an eye on the financial state of the several programs that Clean Climber currently runs. Your goal is to keep Clean Climber financially fit and stable, so we can make rock climbing more sustainable in the long run. We have been really successful thus far with receiving funds as recycling and repair is on the top of many governmental programs, but for larger European funds we can’t do it ourselves, so we need a pro, with experience of having done at least 3 large funding requests preferably for non-profit foundations. Your job will be to lead the funds application, to report the financial status of all programs and report directly to the treasurer of the board, as well as the entire board.

We can offer you a freelance job at 25 Euros/hour excl. VAT for 8 hours/week for 6 months, with the aim of extending this. We are open to offering you a more market value wage when we have the funds to do so, but as a non-profit foundation we have to keep a close eye on finances, so for this contract we have to stick with this wage. Besides that, we can offer you a lot of freedom in where and when to work, exciting international projects as well as a nice team to work with. Starting date: now.

Accountant -volunteer
Clean Climber Foundation has started to make climbing shoes more sustainable by connecting climbers with shoemakers through promotion and logistics. This work does mean that we are now an ‘entrepreneurial foundation’ and therefore need to do bookkeeping. Volunteer manager – paid
Clean Climber is looking for a person who’s excited about a sustainable world, preferably an outdoor person or even better, a climber! You’re excited to bring Clean Climber to a higher level of output by attracting more volunteers and giving the volunteers a rewarding experience and satisfaction to contribute to our goal.
Your job will be to attract more volunteers, keep the volunteers involved, connect with them and make their contribution rewarding. You will report to the board.
We can offer you a freelance job at 25 Euros/hour excl. VAT for 8 hours/week for 6 months, with the aim of extending this. We are open to offering you a more market value wage when we have the funds to do so, but as a non-profit foundation we have to keep a close eye on finances, so for this contract we have to stick with this wage. Besides that, we can offer you a lot of freedom in where and when to work (but you’ll need to be on-the-spot with physical meetings), exciting international projects as well as a nice team to work with. Insta-poster – volunteer
Clean Climber is looking for a person who’s excited about a sustainable world, preferably an outdoor person or even better, a climber! You’re excited to tell our story to the outside world.
We have a biweekly as well as a quarterly newsletter with plenty of updates of sustainable climbing, enough material to post, but currently we don’t have anyone who’s a wiz at Insta. If you’re that person, we’d love to get you on the team! The volunteer job will take about 2 hours of work per week and in ‘exchange’, you’ll enter a group of excited sustainable climbers, have climbing meetings in the Netherlands and sometimes abroad and make an impact on sustainable climbing. You’ll work directly with our head marketing and communications. Starting date: now.

Director – volunteer/paid
Clean Climber is looking for a person who’d love to lead the foundation together with founder Gerard van Laar. If you’re passionate about climbing and want to change it for the better, here’s your chance to lead the way.
The founder has started the Clean Climber in 2018, which became a foundation in 2019. Since then, multiple programs have been initiated and are successful. Yet again, to grow and to become more professional, Gerard would love to work together with somebody to lead the way together, to learn and to grow. It is very possible that there are ways that you can get paid through our research programs, but most of the work is voluntarily as we’re on a budget. If you have good leader skills and can see the big picture of our projects, this might be something for you. Starting date: now.

Board member – treasurer – volunteer
Would you like to shape Clean Climber and decide on its future? To keep our board fresh, we’d like to replace board members after several years. As a board member, you (together with 2-3 other board members) have the final say in where money is spent and what projects to take on. It takes 1 board meeting per month of about 1,5 hours, reporting and some quicker decision making in the board group chat, all in all about 4-6 hours/month. We are now specifically looking for a treasurer. Do you have experience with money flows and hopefully have experience with foundations, then we need you! Our current treasurer (Wouter) will do different work in the foundation, he’s planning to leave the board by the end of 2023. Starting date: now (Wouter will support you in transferring information).
